I had a 522 connected to only a single Sat feed for a few weeks and it just worked fine. Just don't expect PIP or multi-tuner/Recorder type functions to work. FYI - I don't believe that setting the 522 to Single MODE will do anything for you with only the one Sat input. I'll assume that...

I have 4 separate receivers activated on my account right now, 2 of which have dual tuners (322/522). But - I also own all my receivers. I have no idea what restrictions they have on lease customers.

If the 921 was your only receiver, then no, you wouldn't have to pay an "extra receiver fee. I don't pay a VOD fee because I have AEP, so I suspect if you had it you wouldn't either.

Yes, many of us have went through this ordeal with Dish tier 1 support, and to be fair, it's really not their fault. We new x22 "owners" are asking for something that they can't authorize because of the system. I couldn't agree more about your statement concerning the folks in the Executive...

I haven't ran across a wishlist or I would have posted this there.... A customer will sometimes set up their dual tuner receiver with just a single input from the dish. As part of the setup the user should be able to declare the other input (say SAT2) "unused", and no periodic or daily...

Problem is there with the Southwest Bell unit connected to a 322 too. With caller ID on, phone rings once and hangs up on caller. Turn off caller ID and phone/322 all happy.

Frankly the "break even" point wasn't a consideration for me, as I needed to add a couple of units to my house anyway. The last receiver I bought was year ago, a new 301 for ~$130 from my local Dish retailer. So my frame of reference going into the upgrade was the $130 bucks for a plain Jane...

Ran across a website that had them MSRP of $399.95 for the 522, but they didn't actually sell them -- lease only. I believe the 522 replacement cost from the contract is probably a better indicator of value, and that's $300. But 50% or 66%, the point was that as an existing customer I couldn't...

Like the man said above, you'll need another dedicated run of cable from the new room to the dish. If it was cable before, it's probably RG-59 and may have splitters installed. Best bet is to have someone come out and replace that with RG-6. Do you have Dishpro stuff, a legacy 500 or 300...
