    Dish Anywhere update 7.0.3 issues

I hate the new app - just like I hated the website change a while back. In addition to just not being user friendly (the old app was just fine), this new version now sends all traffic out to the internet and back, even when I am on my LAN - just like the website. I fear this is going to come to...

    Dish Anywhere streaming quality

On the latest PC version it goes out of your network and back in.. limited by upstream bandwidth. The fire stick keeps it all on your LAN (so far)

    CBS On Demand is active!

This is great. It's a pain to watch CBS shows when they get interrupted or delayed by other stuff. Just the current season is fine with me.

    New DISHANYWHERE Player Discussion

Yes they are. Both are hardwired. Horrible news. The Android/Fire TV app actually works pretty well. My go to travel setup for hotel rooms is a fire stick with the DA app, gives me roughly the same experience as being home.

    New DISHANYWHERE Player Discussion

The new player appears to go outside of the network and back in even when on the same LAN. Noticed mine was buffering more than usual, so I started watching traffic on my router. When streaming, upload and download throughput is pretty much symmetrical. Great.. now my streaming in my own...

    New DISHANYWHERE Player Discussion

Holy crap this new website is BAD. Most of the Dish Anywhere functionality doesn't even work. Very spotty in reliably connecting to my box, even when on the same LAN No easy way to access multiple episodes of a recorded series - just defaults to the latest It's mentioned above that if...

Switching from 211 signal to Joey signal on boat when coming ashore

So he has a Hopper on land, and wants to use a Joey on the boat tied to that Hopper? Without knowing the distance, it's hard to recommend anything, but I would think the wifi option would be the best (and it may be an added benefit of getting wifi at the boat too).

    H3 U540 Recordings disappearing

No change. And for some reason, it won't restore my settings from the remote.

    H3 U540 Recordings disappearing

By partial reset do you mean pulling power? Or some other process?

    H3 U540 Recordings disappearing

You're misunderstanding this just as your colleagues did. It is not an issue of something not being initially recorded. It was there in my recordings at one point, and disappeared a day or two later with no user interaction. They were not the same program. There were no conflicts.

    H3 U540 Recordings disappearing

That was my worry. It is possible that a HDD is going bad, but not bad enough yet to have software detect it. I've seen this on PCs, and combined with not knowing how extensive of a test the Dish software runs on it, this is a possibility. Oh great. I did see one come back over the last week...

    H3 U540 Recordings disappearing

So you think Dish or I did it remotely? I did not. (Yes, I am the only user and live alone, so no someone else could not have done it). So, that leaves Dish remotely logging in and deleting recordings for no reason. Yeah, ok.

    H3 U540 Recordings disappearing

Noticed that 5 recordings over the last week have disappeared. Did a hard reboot (power) and 1 more disappeared. Anyone else seeing this? Figured the HDD is probably dying, I've had this H3 for at least a few years now. Decided to do chat to hopefully have a less stressful interaction... yeah...

    Dish anywhere

Working on phone now as well. Will check the fire stick when I get to the hotel.

    Dish anywhere

I think so, because my fire stick did it's usual drop of credentials that it does regularly. That's where it started.
