Once again, DTV customer service has stepped up, giving me 6-months worth of discounts that more than covered my extra out of pocket expenses for this upgrade. I will say it took some patience and time, being denied at twice before they came through, but that is not totally unexpected.

At $6 a month I don't see the plan as a worthwhile investment, unless you live in an older home where you question the wiring. I have been a customer for a couple years and have never had a problem. But then again, I am never a big fan of protection plans....

Unless I have it wrong it looks like EyeConnect only allows you to control music from the DVR, I am looking for something to control the music at the computer and just sent it to the stereo. Looking more and more like I will need to ask for Airport Express for Christmas.
