DVR-522 gap subsequent to play after pause

My 522 has *always* done that! You take the good with the bad I guess... When it's on pause, you can hit the << (frame back) button a couple of times, and when you un-pause it, the audio will pick up where you left off.

Rename Your Town 'DISH,' Get Free Satellite TV for 10 Years

Here's what I want to know: how would they actually execute this? Go door-to-door installing systems? And what about new residents? Let's say someone moves to the town a week after it all gets going - do they get a free system as well??

DVR522 L253 Timer with New option problems.

Yep... I remember when we got NBR on the 522, and I was pissed because they did it like that. It isn't nearly as useful or accurate as it *could* be if they'd just look for the word "New."

    522 Stupid "slow motion" feature...

It's always been like that on the 522. Personally, I never use the slo-mo, so I can't really complain...

    Sirius radio and CDs

I don't know what format the Sony Gigapocket records in, but if it's any video file, you can use a program that's free on the 'net called VirtualDub. Load the video file and select 'save .WAV file,' then burn! On my old 1.2mhZ(?) computer, it takes about 15 minutes to strip 2 hours of audio to...

    L2.39 Released for the 522 & 625

I have replecated the "SEARCH OF DEATH!!" Anytime I do a search, and then hit 'cancel' to get out (NOT 'view tv' or any other button), it does a Disk Diagnostics for 8 minutes. I did that three times last night, just to make sure. If you have 2.39 for the 522, DO NOT hit cancel while in...

    L2.39 Released for the 522 & 625

I was one of the first to get 2.39, and since then I've noticed (mainly while using the # search function) that it has been going into Disk Diagnostics a LOT lately. In the past 2 days alone, I've seen it do Diagnostics three times. The audio dropouts aren't so much an annoyance now as...

    522 L2.36 Release Notes

...I noticed that. It's quite annoying! If you pause it anywhere near someone saying something, you have to skip back 10 secs to catch what they said in that silence. I'm NOT complaining... I appreciate all the effort Dish is going through to give us updates. Just seems like they fix...

IMF to launch Today at 5PM

Well I have had this channel on for several hours, and I've noticed a few things. They play nothing but videos, with NO commercials (except for the occasional PSA). It's about 65% American stuff, with about 15% latin stuff. They also play some good offbeat USA videos, like Jack Johnson and...

522: Recorded Events Being Named Incorrectly?

No, Beer... I have several timers (Life on a Stick, Bernie Mac on FOX and several Sunday night Adult Swim shows) that are NOT manual timers, yet seem to have the wrong name every week. Life on a Stick consistantly (well, for the last 3 weeks!) has come up as American Idol, which is the show...

522: Recorded Events Being Named Incorrectly?

I see it fairly regularly.... once or twice per week I'd say.

    522 records all episodes?

To the 522, 'New' episodes are ones from the CURRENT YEAR. So if you tell it to record 'new eps' on say, VH1 or MTV (know how they replay stuff OVER and OVER?), it'll get every epsisode, though it's not supposed to get repeats that are already on the HD. I don't know why they can't have the...

    Major 522 Issues...Help needed!!!

...Learn to live with it! :P All those issues are common ones, BUT they shouldn't be happening very often. Mine is still watchable (who cares if the audio plays for a second after pushing pause!??), so I don't really worry about it. Before they fixed the horrible audio dropouts, yeah, I was...
