    Right Angle Compression Connectors.

I was thinking of my C-band days when the 4ghz signal was downconverted to 70mhz after the LNA, later, in the LNB.

    Right Angle Compression Connectors.

The forum is better than going to college. The signal out from the LNB to the receiver is around 2.1GHz? My run to the antennas is 140 ft. I might replace the cable and connectors with the really good stuff so as to minimize loss.

    Right Angle Compression Connectors.

Isn't the signal down to 70Mhz coming down the RG6? Just curious.

    Signal Strength meter recommendations?????

I too use a portable TV. However, there is the slightest lag in the onscreen tuning meter and after awhile you might get used to it and 'lead' the bird just right once you get a feel for it. My inline ChannelMaster gives an instantaneous reading and makes tweaking so much easier.

    Signal Strength meter recommendations?????

I've been using the Channelmaster 1004iFD for years. It's survived numerous 'drop' tests and still works fine. I use its tuning tone to good effect for pinpoint aiming. I'd like to have one of the Bird Dogs, but too many $$ for my budget.

    Receiver doesn't see DP34 switch

Received a suggestion from a long time installer. His thinking is 3 LNB's combined with a long cable run are killing the DP34's. He suggested I use a second receiver to act soley as a power supply so as to provide sufficient current. I have an old 4500 sitting around and will use that and see...

    Receiver doesn't see DP34 switch

Yes, all three are DP. Also connected each antenna seperately and each satellite played perfect. Reconnected 1000 antenna and all is ok with the 211. This is the second (this one new) dp34 that has failed, assuming it's the problem.
