Scott, Any news on GolTV & E*?

This is not the same as GolTV. This is a new channel launched in Spain by MediaPro to air matches, domestic and foreign, for which MediaPro has the rights. I don't know what the international copyright laws are but maybe there is a difference between GolTV and Gol TV (with a space).

Scott, Any news on GolTV & E*?

No, what I keep saying is it shouldn't matter to you what anyone else does. If people are "rational" or not or "emotional" or not when they vent, why does it matter to you. You are so hellbent on "correcting" people that you miss the tenor of these threads. People are venting their frustrations...

Scott, Any news on GolTV & E*?

Exactly. What does it matter to you what people on this and other similar threads think and do? If GolTV doesn't matter to you, stay with DishTV and it shouldn't matter what anyone else does, no matter how "uninformed" in your opinion that person may be.

Are you a Dish Network accountant, then???? If not, the above statement applies to you as well.

Scott, Any news on GolTV & E*?

No. Dish Network is responsible for the success (or failure) of Dish Netwok. GolTV is responsible for the success (or failure) of GolTV.

Scott, Any news on GolTV & E*?

There is "chatter" that ESPN may want to make a run at La Liga and the Prem after this season. There is another GolTV thread on this forum where this has been discussed. There is a thread on the BigSoccer site, TV thread, that discusses the rumor that ESPN may bid for the Prem. What I think you...

Scott, Any news on GolTV & E*?

I would like to know what the ratings breakdown is between the Spanish and English sides for GolTV. I do know that the La Liga ratings for the Hispanic market are excellent. I would guess that La Liga and the Bundesliga attract a fair number of English speaking viewers, while the rest of the...

    No Goltv on Dish?

That is definitely an intriguing rumor. Also, GolTV is launching on Time Warner cable (LA NYC among their locales). That means more alternatives for receiving GolTV in the nation's two largest (and heavily Hispanic) media markets. Given the possibility of the ESPN scenario described above...

Scott, Any news on GolTV & E*?

How long was Lifetime off the air? GolTV announced today that it is launching on Time Warner Cable this week. That would include LA and NYC among other locations. There was speculation on another thread that the possibility of GolTV losing the rights to La Liga, and thus many viewers, after the...

Scott, Any news on GolTV & E*?

That is bad news. To any Dish executives monitoring this forum:..... Here's a reminder of a fact that I'm sure you've all been made aware of......Setanta won't keep La Liga and Bundesliga fans (not to mention fans of the various Latin American leagues on GolTV) from leaving Dish en...

    No Goltv on Dish?

I'm not quite sure at what or whom you're hinting. In truth, I don't watch that much soccer beyond Barca and Madrid matches (and if Madrid is cruising to an easy win, I can't stand to watch and I turn it off). While I generally have an idea of what's going on in Europe via highlights and news, I...

    No Goltv on Dish?

Yes, the HD possibilities would increase. That would be great. La Liga in HD was pretty sweet while it lasted. No, never played poker. Why?
