Got VOOM 5 days ago. Why? ... Lots of HD channels/programming & no equipment to buy. Switched from DirecTV after a year & a half w/them. Here's my story. Did have a few install issues, but everything is satisfactory now in terms of setup. VOOM box isn't quite as good as LG/Sony/Hughes DirecTV...

I got my OTA issues resolved. It was my cabling & splitters. Getting all OTA channels now. Given this & having used VOOM for five days, I'm dropping DirecTV. Glad I tried VOOM. I had been on the fence for the longest time, but it's clear to me that VOOM can't be beat for HDTV programming.

Looks like I'm not the only one w/problems w/the VOOM box ;). I had tried Sean's unplug & wait for PG to download method late last night w/o knowing & it worked for me.
