Name a channel/channels you want DirecTV to add...

PIXL please!! My wife loves this channel. We were so disappointed to find out Direct did not offer it. More clean family programming is needed.

Post what DirecTV retention offered you!

I received a letter from DTV asking me to comeback. It said I was to receive NFL ticket 2015, reduced pricing on the ultimate package, AND a $200 Visa Prepaid Card. When I called the rep and he said the $200 Visa Prepaid Card offer was no longer available for my account even though the...

Adding a referral for an upgrade

How can Dish get away with saying "free ipad mini" when you sign up as a new customer? If I opt for the discounted prices, no ipad mini--seems fishy and illegal to me.

Making switch from directv but question about 120 package

Just tell her to get a paper route if she wants those two channels. Just kidding of course, but my wife and I end up solely watching six or seven channels (ESPN, FOX Sports, Hallmark, Hallmark movie, Inspiration, and locals). What a waste of money to pay for the channels we do not watch.

Will I keep HD for Life?

So what if I sign up for Dish today (presently with Direct)? Will I still qualify for the HD for life? I just want to save money but want/need some sports channels in HD. Brad

Considering switch from Dish to Xfinity - talk me down?

That is exactly the move that I am planning!! Right now I pay $190 for Direct TV and phone/internet with Century Link. I hope to lower that to around $110 with Dish/Comcast internet/Ooma.

"On Demand" feature kills my internet connection with 2-HR24's and MRV

I have two HR24's with the MVR whole house connection. Recently the Direct TV system is causing my internet connections through my router to fail. When the "On Demand" feature is connected to the router the whole internet connection fails. If I unplug the "On Demand" cable from the router...

Internet connection slows to a crawl when I turn the DTV receiver and TV on.

]I tried unplugging everything and then powering all items up, one at a time, but it did nothing. We do have an error code showing up on the DVR downstairs: 71-73-705.

Internet connection slows to a crawl when I turn the DTV receiver and TV on.

We recently had 2 Hr24's installed with the whole house connection. The installer connected the whole house black box (with the three blinking lights) to our router upstairs and then connected it between the two tv's with coax cable. The connection has worked fine for three weeks, but all of...

Costco $180 cash card for Direct TV signup

Worked absolutely perfect for me--received the gift card in the mail about four weeks after signing up. Be sure to get the $100 referral money too, if you use the Costco link to make the referral from. I took advantage of both offers. The referral can be gained from a friend who has Direct...

DirecTV could lose G4 (Removed 11-1)

I loved tech tv at the time it was airing. G4 has never got my attention. Of course I am older computer newbie.

    DirecTV2PC Oh My!

As far as the video driver, you may just be able to update your card with the most recent driver. That is what my son did. Our experience with the TV2C is great so far. The only downside is that if you are watching a recorded program on the computer, your wife cannot watch a recorded program on...

    Add Me To The Party!!!

I have had dish since their initial introduction. Switched to cable a couple of time when we moved, but always came back to dish. My wife was disappointed in the dual tuner receiver and now we are happy customers of direct tv as of Saturday, Oct 2, 2010. Brad

    More questions (sorry)

Just got my dual HR24's installed today and things went as smooth as silk. When he was all done, the installer warned my sons, not to install or attach an ethernet cable to any of the receivers. The DECA works great. Yes, D* will reimburse you for your cancellations fees from Dish. So...
