How can Dish get away with saying "free ipad mini" when you sign up as a new customer? If I opt for the discounted prices, no ipad mini--seems fishy and illegal to me.

Just tell her to get a paper route if she wants those two channels. Just kidding of course, but my wife and I end up solely watching six or seven channels (ESPN, FOX Sports, Hallmark, Hallmark movie, Inspiration, and locals). What a waste of money to pay for the channels we do not watch.

By that I mean, I always hear that with Direct TV it is much more difficult to navigate the menu programs and scheduling with the DVR than it is with Dish. Is the latest HD DVR an improvement in that area or is it still lagging behind Dish with regards to ease of use and speed? Thanks, Brad

Personally, I would go with Ooma. There are absolutely no monthly charges and you get unlimited long distance. You have to make sure you buy one of the older models that do not require a montly charge. I have one and it is great. Brad
