Will a DTV SL3 SWM fit on my slim SL5?

Thanks Iceberg... the SL3/SWM sounds like the K.I.S.S. approach. I'm not really concerned about SD Locals as I have a cable 3-way bundle (phone/internet/cable) with basic cable meaning I have some local SD on the cable as a backup if the weather kills the dish reception.

Will a DTV SL3 SWM fit on my slim SL5?

People next door were doing some tree work and a tree branch pivoted on the boom and hit my dish, knocked out the alignment, don't know if any other damage was done. I checked from ground with binoculars, looks like basic alignment issue. I'm in rural area and use a local contractor to do all...

Are many people using two dishes to get all signals?

That's a possibility down the road, but is that new 5-lnb dish going to point at a different direction than my current 3-LNB does? See, what I'm thinking is that with two different dishes and mounting locations, maybe I can sneak a peek at a satellite that is somewhat obscured during early...

    You installers out there

I'm not an installer, but in a service industry (Pest Control). The best story we ever had was one of our senior field guys was out to do a exterior treatment around a very modern home (walls of glass) and they had an intercom. He announces his arrival and the lady tells him to go ahead and...

Are many people using two dishes to get all signals?

Just curious. My triple lnb dish worked fine when the trees bordering our house were barren but now that spring has sprung... I'm getting zip on Sat B but 90's on the other two. I'm seriously thinking of dusting off my old dual LNB that had a add-on kit for the triple and putting the Sat B LNB...

    Using new DTV Recievers w/Remotes

I finally dug up the box and it's a #600 code so I guess its a LG-built box. I'll give it a try later and see if I can get LG parameters to work. If that doesn't work, then I'll call Mits this week and ask them about the problem. Maybe they can warranty the remote if I tell them it doesn't...

    Using new DTV Recievers w/Remotes

I'm not at home now, but if you go to Best Buy like I did and buy the HD receiver, it's a DTV box/brand. My Mits remote has all the normal controls for DTV (Guide, menu, etc.) and like I said, it worked with previous name-brand receivers like RCA or Samsung. But we moved and had lapsed...

    Using new DTV Recievers w/Remotes

Here's my first question in this forum. I just got DTV set up and its working fine with the triple LNB setup and the HD receiver. I'd like to be able to use the Mitsubishi remote from my 1-year old DLP which worked my old Samsung HD receiver fine. But there is no brand on this receiver and...
