Do you mean you can only use Powerline's in pairs? I thought I read that you only need one Powerline at the router and you can have more than one in other rooms.

I know this is a long shot, but will my 721 remotes(I have 3) work with the 522? It looks like there is probably more features on the new remote.

Will the 522 accept signal from my old SW64 switch? Or do I have to upgrade that too?

No :mad: I tried and I also complained that I had 3 remotes for my 721. (I didn't know if they could be re-used or not) But, it seems they have you where the want you. A free replacement receiver w/ DVR fee or nothing and your 721 becomes a paper weight anyways. I wisely opted for the free...

Ahhh, the lawsuit. I guess I just found it strange that it applied to the 721 after they programmed a work around. Also, I wasn't clear exactly what the 721 did that the 508 didn't do. I guess it was a feature that I didn't know existed.

It came today.

I got a letter that I need to call in for a free replacement receiver. They said my 721 needed to be replaced with a 522? But my 508 was fine. Is the 721 really that outdated?

I can still watch recorded shows just fine.

My only 2 timers were missing this morning. I will try the other thing you mentioned.

I can no longer set up a timer or record live. I have pulled the card and performed a reset.(held down the power button and pulled the card) If that is still the correct way to do it. I also, just unplugged it and let it start from scratch. I can no longer record any way, any how. Everything...

Are you saying that there is a way to subscribe to all the regional Fox Sports Networks? I didn't know that was possible. If so, that would be almost like getting the EI package.

Sorry, there is an Archos forum that has been trying. Starting with these units, Archos has made it impossible to do it. The hard disk is somehow mated. The older units that Archos had were upgradable, but not anymore. jc
