Exactly! I pay for Dish to provide the channel and I pay Dish to lease a receiver that is supposed to record those shows. Dish is eliminating both of those, and the subscriber gets screwed.

Theoretically, the above two answers are correct. In practice, for me, the skip function is pretty much random, especially if you skip forward too far, and then want to back up a bit. It varies anywhere between 2 seconds and 2 minutes. It can be extremely annoying.

I'm in the exact same scenario as you. I've had the hopper in the bedroom since the day they were released. it is certainly loud and annoying enough to make me strongly consider replacing the television. I'm going to give it another couple of weeks to decide.
