    Daystar moved

Please remember that many of us do not have receivers that automatically update (mercury fortes star, etc.)

    What happened to GCN?

For the past week or so the GCN channel has had signal strength and quality readings, but no broadcast. What happened? I know there is a "Manmin TV" channel, but when I first watched it, it had different programming from GCN and was not dubbed in english.

Your Immediate Glorystar Signal Reports are Needed!

I see that others are receiving on the new transponder. What can be the reason I can't even detect it? I've never had a problem like this with not being able to scan a newly-activated TP. Here's the results on the other transponders in the list: 11789 V 28125 - SQ: 47 11836 V 20765 - SQ...

Your Immediate Glorystar Signal Reports are Needed!

Has the transponder really been activated? In doing a "Power Scan" I do not detect anything at or near 11842 H 22000 (the supposed "new" transponder). On the "TP Scan" screen, I get no SQ if I manually enter 11842 H 22000. In general, moving channels from stronger transponders on AMC4 to...

River Broadcasting added to Glorystar Christian Satellite 1/12/2010

Some of the information led me to believe it was a "beta test" broadcast. Is there any chance that they will be moving to a more powerful transponder or somehow increasing their signal level? Their signal seems to be one of the weakest in my area, worse than any of the other GloryStar...

River Broadcasting added to Glorystar Christian Satellite 1/12/2010

Is River Broadcasting (Galaxy 19 97W on 11966H) going to be part of GloryStar? Has anyone contacted them? Seems to be connected somehow to Rodney Browne and "The River" church in Florida. Also broadcasts what appear to be family-friendly old movies and cartoons.

Glorystar dual satellite dish unable to get both birds

Isn't it true that the GloryStar dish that's normally provided with the dual LNB setup is a 39 inch dish, not a 36 inch dish?

Improved High-VHF reception when raining (whenever antenna gets wet)

The antenna is a brand new Terrestrial Digital DB8 (I bought it from Antennas Direct). I suspect that "power line noise" could be a factor, but if that is really the case I don't think it would explain the enhanced quality of 27/10 when wet vs. the degraded quality of 15/23 (unless UHF is much...

Improved High-VHF reception when raining (whenever antenna gets wet)

Practically brand new. No corrosion. no wear. Remember, it's a UHF antenna, so the VHF reception is not going to be that good to begin with. The majority of the stations I receive (with the exception of the 15/23 channel) are absolutely unaffected by wet vs. dry.

Improved High-VHF reception when raining (whenever antenna gets wet)

I'm in central PA. I have a large 8-bay UHF antenna and a converter box for watching digital OTA TV. I noticed that ONLY when it rained could I receive a strong enough signal on channel 27 (actually broadcasting on VHF 10) to make it "viewable". I thought it might have something to do with...

    Lip Synch Problem - Resolved

I find that when sync is off on GLC, usually all it takes to resync is to switch to another channel on another transponder for a few seconds, then switch back.

    GBN Still Broadcasting?

Any word on GBN resolving their G19 issues? Still not receiving. Funny thing. Every once in a while when switching to GBN, one frame appears, freezes. Anyone else getting different results?

    GBN Still Broadcasting?

GBN has been off again for a couple of days. Are they experiencing technical difficulties again, or have they moved?

Vision Heaven TV Off The Air???

Has Vision Heaven TV gone off the air or moved? 11929/V/22000 and even the live feed on their website shows only a continuous commercial for RRSAT.
