    Thinking of moving to E*

Ted, Congrats on getting your new setup. How is the SD picture quality...how would you compare it to TWC digital SD? Also, what dishes did you actually have installed, and what did it cost? Thanks, Chris

    Thinking of moving to E*

Ted, I know you from the Navigator forum on AVS...looks like you took the plunge. I'm anxious to hear how this works out for you in our area. I might be right behind you if I hear good things. The 722 sounds better than anything we are going to get from TWC for quite some time! Would love to...

    NY being charged taxes??

I don't have Dish yet, but are you saying that North Carolina is on the list of states that have to pay sales tax on the monthly service? I googled, and found articles that Dish and Direct were suing NC for this practice in 2003...couldn't find anything on the outcome.

How to record two programs with vip 622

I'm in the learning before buying stage of looking into Dish...what do you mean by "and in my case, displays better on TV2 (guide, aspect ratio, etc..)" when you are in single mode? When you are in single mode, how do you display anything to TV2? Thanks.

RG59 Cable and the 722. Dish says it will burn up!

Thanks for your reply. No such luck on the cable...what is installed is labeled: Coleman Cable RG6/U 18 AWG Type CL2 75c (UL) E100316-I OR CATV 1000MHz Sweep Tested Seems like I'd be best off with new cable to the receivers, and can use in-wall for backfeed with no issues.

    Wiring question

    Wiring question

What's your opinion on using RG-6 1000Mhz swept - which is what my house is fully wired with...home runs to every room. Is it usable for a VIP722 for being diplexed to two tuners and backfeed?

RG59 Cable and the 722. Dish says it will burn up!

Thanks for the response. I assume there isn't any testing that I could do short of having an install and seeing the results? Do you know, in general, how careful Dish installers are with running cables so they are at least well hidden. I have both attic and basement, allowing pretty...

RG59 Cable and the 722. Dish says it will burn up!

In my 6 year old house, I have home runs from every room to a distribution point on the outside of the house of RG-6 1000Mhz....from what I have been reading, this is also insufficient for using single runs diplexed for both tuners and backfeed to VIP722/622/222 receivers (because of the 1000Mhz...
