Hopper upgraded to S234 last night and today I got my first black screen. I had been watching OTA. Then I was watching other channels. On going back to OTA black screen and had to reboot.

Is it whining or stating facts to see if by some strange quirk of fate someone with knowledge form Dish will tell them why eleven days after the OTA was released over 50% of the customers still cannot use it? If it were only the OTA dongle you might be right. This was just the latest in a long line of issues I have had with the hopper and hopper software which have turned out to be known bugs. Each have been reported to a Dish technical support person who each time I reported I would have to repeat...

Did you have thousands or tens of thousands of customers asking for an explanation and you ignored them?

I've been around long enough to know they kept us hanging for months waiting for the OTA dongle, then shipped it without the software and now it has been over a week. I could go into a rant of all the other glitches with the Hopper and it's software. I have been in the software and hardware...

Thanks again this morning Dish. No software updates so still unable to use the OTA that we waited months for. But they think they can successfully launch and control another satellite when they can't even control the stationary dishes on roof tops around the country. Good luck with that.

Really nice to hear that so many of you have gotten 229 and many have been upgraded further to 230. But could someone with some inside knowledge explain why so many of us are still sitting at 222 and therefor cannot use the new features or the OTA module that is now gathering dust in the box.

If you had weather or anything else that caused even a brief loss of signal, Hopper is known not to recover from this and your PTAT shows will be blank. DISH knows about this but has not fixed it yet.
