I was told, If I sign up to Dish HD bronze, I dont pay any lease fees on the VIP 211 reciever.

Yah, if I have only VIP 211 as primary reciever, its free right, no Lease fee isnit... So there is NO benefit of owning your own equipment. I dont know why ppl buy Recievers then, since Dish covers if any problems, rather than u mailing it back, and dealing with reciever support and all..

I just noticed, there are 2 Satellite types (EC*3 , EC*12) in 61.5?? http://ekb.dbstalk.com/61-5list.htm Sony programming is on EC*3, then HD chans are on EC*12.. Which one would DISH Install then? Since I have both Sony and HDBronze.

Also when they install, Anything to check in particular before they leave? Each orbit signal strengths or something?

Ohh, that sucks... SO from previous 2 comments, New Orbits doesnt necessarily mean better signal I guess, but DN no longer doing 121 .. they discontinuing itseems.. I am pretty much looking for HD, Top60, South Asian INTL Programming (Sony(on 61.5 and 121), Gemini (only on 118.7 and 121)...

I am not on a CONTRACT basis right, i am paying $49 Activation fee to avoid 18mon contract. Yah the chans I am looking for are only on 121 and not on new 118.7

Hmm... But 1000+ don't have 121 where some of Hindi (Intl Lang) chans exist and not on any other orbit... When I talked to CSR, I was told I can change the service anytime i.e do HD for 2 months, then INTL for 2months etc... But if i want to keep the HD Reciever, I was told it would cost...

So you are paying $200 one-time fee for VIP 622, and $11/mo ($5 -access, $6-dvr)... and you dont even own equipment.. i guess the $11/mo applies even if you own the equipment right? Say if you buy for $350+ on ebay..

Great! I am getting DIsh installed soon with 625 Dual Tuner, and I have sunrocket too.. So they install a seperate phone line behind TV? or how does it work?

Can I signup for DISHHD Bronze + Intl Programming (which are only on 121) , so DN installs a DISH that would support 110 & 119(Top60), 121(INTL), 129(HD) right ? So Once they installed this, after like 2months, I can deactivate HD and INTL PRogramming right (They dont come again and take-away...
