I agree. An autumn scene is more preferred for me. If you look at the ones you can vote on for January, they all have more of a Spring/Summer feel. I much prefer them when they match the seasons, but more especially for the holidays.

While I like this one, I think I like last year’s better. It just had that nice Americana patriotic feel to it with the farm in the foreground and the small town, with the carnival and fireworks at night, in the background.

The daytime part is nice, but the night is a little creepy, except for the disco gnome.

Trying to figure out how a tropical island ties in with January. My wife and I were hoping for a relaxing winter scene (no barking dogs and strange noises that sound close to the “camera”.)

I like it. Very relaxing, which is the point of these Dishscapes. I don’t think they are meant to be riveting viewing.

Oh, I like the water tower. Every small town has a water tower. Two different songs play in my head as I watch this scape. During the daylight “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver and for the nighttime “Small Town Saturday Night” by Hal Ketchum.

I though about the HDMI cable, but with it playing 4K just fine through the Amazon and Netflix channels (301 & 302), why would it not do so on 504-1? It all is coming through the Hopper using the same HDMI cable.

540-1 is still showing 1080i for me. I have been watching the pre-game and thought maybe it was just the game that was going to switch to 4K, but apparently that is not the case. I have cord rebooted my Hopper 3 and still 1080i. I can go to the Amazon Prime or Netflix channels and watch 4K...
