Need some help - 8 foot Unimesh install

The GT Media V9 already has a tool in the receiver to create .m3u playlists. So this is not required. The question is what can one do with the created .m3u file? We want to be able to play a 4:2:2 stream on the big screen TV. This may not be possible.

However...I do have an Android TIVO on my TV. Now if I could just cast to the Android TIVO, and not directly to the TV as I've been doing, who knows what might happen?;)

Need some help - 8 foot Unimesh install

I've loaded the V9 playlist as well as all other media in the house via my network using the Media Server app on my Sony TV. But...the TV just says there's nothing to play. It wants media like music, video, photos.

Need some help - 8 foot Unimesh install

Using this procedure, I have successfully streamed from my V9 to my PC over my network. The channel played well on my PC. I then connected my PC by HDMI cable back to the TV and played the video on the TV. I don't have 4:2:2 available right now for testing.

Does the video play smoothly? I've not noticed anything negative when playing 4:2:2 this way, but I don't think I've actually tried this using the ABC channels. The result of playing 4:2:2 this way just looks clear as a bell to me.

Streaming 4.2.2 via Phone to TV

Once the stream goes to your PC or phone and can be viewed on those, I thought they would simply be able to cast back to the TV something simpler for the TV to interpret. But it doesn't work. So I'm simply sitting my spare laptop PC beside the TV and connecting them via HDMI cable. That's my...

Streaming 4.2.2 via Phone to TV

Fiber here is 1 Gbps service. I never have Internet issues. And we can stream as much as we want with multiple devices without trouble. In the past, when we've thought of moving to an area, the very first question was what Internet service was available. We recall dial up service in the old days...

GEOSATpro microHD: No LNB Voltage Output

Don't want to rain on your parade, however for around the same cost and probably faster, you could have got a "state-of-the-art" new satellite receiver direct from China. But nostalgia is nice.

Streaming 4.2.2 via Phone to TV

2.4 GHz wifi band is empty. We have no neighbours as far as we can see. It's just us.

Streaming 4.2.2 via Phone to TV

The Android phone (or PC) decodes the 4:2:2 stream fine and plays it locally smoothly. But the phone can't do that, it seems, plus also cast it back to the TV. It could even be a bandwidth issue on my local house wifi.

I just fried my meter, didn't I? Time for a new one?

The good signal finder app for Edision users with Android phones that used to be in the Google Play store is no longer there. But, it can be downloaded from here: https://signalmeter.en.aptoide.com/app I don't know if this is a reliable source or not. Proceed at your own risk.
