I called directv to inquire about upgrading to mpeg4 last night. I was told that the new mpeg4 box was 199, but if I traded in my current h10 that I could get it for the low, low price of 99. that's odd. at one point i couldn't get any of my locals. i had unhooked the coax feed to my upstairs box and when i plugged it back in i could get all the locals except for fox and it's been that way ever since.

i've been using my box for ota here in dallas. is anyone else in the dfw using their's for ota? and if so are you having trouble picking up fox??? i went into the installer's menu and aimed the antenna to were i got a 99 signal and fox is still intermittently down 10 seconds up 10 seconds...

don't belittle my wording choice lob. i said coax anyways. so if i were wanting to use the antenna, i would have to bypass the diplexer? is this correct?

two questions: 1. If they don't ask for the boxes back, could they be used for d* or e* service somehow? 2. If they do ask for the boxes back, but not the dish and antenna, can you just run the coax into the back of an hdtv with built in tuner and receive all ota?

I noticed this watching farm aid on wednesday night. Very annoying. Then last night I went home and it was doing this on all of the channels except ota and the guide was lagging and it took about 45 seconds to change the channel. When I went to check the ota channels, all the ones I had...

It is tough being patient for the new channels and to see if voom will actually make it. I can wait, but they absolutely need to put a date on the information section of the guide. This is a must to determine if it's a rerun or not, and if so when it originally ran, etc. I don't ask for much...
