Cricket coverage is available Over the Air for free or as part of basic programming the case of cable and satellite in countries where it is played. So dish offering these in eastern hemisphere and trying to profit from it is out of question. Only in the U.S can you nickel and dime every sports...
Smart move by Dish. Offer the IPL bait, and pull in customers from Directv, and comcast. I guess they would have looked at the # of people who subscribed to the world cup package , and made this move.
