Has anyone found a workaround for people who get a new HN9000 system, replacing an older sytem, so they do not loose there email address. I have been unsuccessful at finding a solution.

Maybe it has something to do with the beam? I haven't done one for a while, but the last few seemed to take forever to provision.

Price for the dealer I do work for is ~$217.00 for WB and ~ $446.00 for HN.

The initial cost is different. With HN you own the equipment. With dish you "lease" the equipment. In my opinion you should call a local retailer, not a national web or phone site and get pricing etc. As for WB there base price per mo is 50.00 which I see ~330kbps down. HN starts at 60.00...

I install both, and if it were my money I would also vote HN. I have been very impressed so far with the new Ka system.

That is my understanding.......I have not yet verified that (my beam has not changed yet).

My understanding is the beams are changing the way data is transmitted and when they do, the SB will not show lock, but will still show signal strength. I have yet to experience this, but assume that it should be no big deal as I have not seen the SB show signal for any other sat when looking...

Thanks for the reply. The time to/from sat being important because noc knows when to send more packets?? Also I put a lot of 7000s modems in with the 45 watt ps. I asked tech support if that could be the problem, but it wasn't on his list.............:eek:

Has anyone seen this problem? HN7000S on Hor 1 1270, no tx errors while surfing the web including speed tests up and down, but massive ~90 % errors when trying to range/force range. The system takes a long time to finally range (~25 - 30 min). Trying to figure it out, I swapped odu, idu and...

They would still be usefull for DW6000 thru HN7000S systems, just not the new Ka system (HN9000).

If you have any excessive drive time even 125 would suck. The problem is if you are doing it for a fullfillment co, they are only being paid 175 in the first place (plus they pay shipping on equip), so there isn't much room to pay a decent wage to a sub/sub.

Yes there was a bulletin put out that some where sent with wrong PS. Also I heard of guys having to rebuild the account to get a system to work.

I get paid 150.00 for an HN install using my own parts, truck etc... 75.00 would be a joke even with them supplying the parts.

P-10, RSI, or maybe even ebay. Who is your supplier?
