REVIEW - AI Turbo S2 Meter - The BEST Gets BETTER!

Yeah I have one. Will there be an upgrade program for existing SB owners? I know I can get my SB 2.0 upgraded to a SB29 (for a fee, of course :)), wasn't sure if maybe I could get it upgraded to a Turbo S2.

DISH Network Retailer Chat Recap - "Hopper Special" - 2/16/2012

I'm a bit sour on this already because Dish won't just mail me the boxes for me to install myself, even if I had to buy the other pieces/parts to implement (like nodes, splitters, etc.). This is the same Dish Network that wouldn't take my 200 bucks and let me upgrade to a 922 without a truck...

    922 upgrade without installer

I managed to convince them to send me a 722 back a few years ago. For the 922, they told me no. I threatened to cancel and switch to cable and they still said no. Not even Exec Relations could override it. As it sits, I'm kinda glad since I would probably want to switch to XiP anyway.

ESPN 3 avialability for DISH Netwrok Customers

It's a double edged sword for me. I have Time Warner for Internet and Dish for TV. I should qualify under Time Warner, but their system says if I don't get ESPN through cable, I don't get ESPN3. At the same time I get ESPN through Dish Network but I don't get ESPN3. I'm not going to switch...

    Charlie Steps Down

Not likely. InDemand is owned by a few cable companies and they're not interested in helping Satellite TV carry their native content. They could've offered this stuff on the Internet and to Satellite Carriers all this time (as Internet VOD). Howard's actually touched on this within the...

Eastern arc dish performance in bad weather

Once I re-aligned my 1000.4 with the Superbuddy it has been pretty much smooth sailing for me as well as for my brother. The only thing I learned is that it pays to make sure to peak on the peak transponders. Seems to have made all of the difference. 77 is still a no-show for me though. I...

    Retailer Chat Recap - January 13, 2011

They should just give me 10$ a month credit for a year. Basically for paying for Platinum, Starz, and getting encore as part of AT250, I'm gifted with 6 PPV coupons I'll never use (worth about 24$). Such a deal... not.

    9/8/2010 3:51pm - Uplink Activity Report - 39 changes

WFVX is on 7.2 in SD Digital over the air. WFVX is in HD on Cable and DirecTV because DirecTV's uplink for locals in Bangor came 2.5 years later and DirecTV is co-located at FOX. Dish is co-located several miles away at the NBC affiliate. Dish can't get a HD signal from FOX and has finally...

I have it on cable, so I'm not as worried, but it would be nice if they sort this out so I can schedule recordings, etc.

    8/18/2010 3:36pm - Uplink Activity Report - 93 changes

They just barely uplinked it and you're already hatin'. :) It's possible they just screwed up or something lagged and they wanted to launch the others so they launched it. Since the WFVX HD guide section just says WFVX HD, that channel is definitely 'half baked', but the question is why...

    8/18/2010 3:36pm - Uplink Activity Report - 93 changes

WFVX is definitely not in HD... Masterchef is in HD on my cable feed but not in my Dish feed. It's very obvious that their feed is a SD uplink.

My TV55 has been the only thing that can actually pick these stations up at all. Every other brand and type I've used (short of something that mounts on my roof) has yielded less, not more. :) Once Dish adds my locals in HD, the antenna is going into storage.

    8/5/2010 3:05am - Uplink Activity Report - 49 changes

Seems stupid to me. Our FOX station received Digital Flash Cut permission in Sept of last year (They applied in April 2008 I believe) and still seems to have no public plan to move to UHF 22. I'm really curious what the standard for this thing is with other stations (they were low...

I've no idea why they did it, but the numbers definitely explain why the experience is garbage. MPBN (WMEB) is on VHF 9 @ 15kW and that's a hard one for me to get too. UHF definitely favored me. I'm using a Terk TV50 which is VHF/UHF, so I doubt that's it.
