I have an HR20-700 and noticed that the "To Do List" contains programs that have already been recorded (and even watched and deleted). What benefit is there to a "To Do" list that contains stuff already done?

Why have an access card at all? This reminds me of a question I keep forgetting to ask. If the access cards are married to the receiver, why even have a removable card? Why isn't it just hard built into the receiver?

Try going into setup and changing your time zone to a different one, then change it back to the original one. It worked for me and it's a whole lot faster than a reboot.

Looks like the problem is on the 101. The 0's line up real nice in the second to last and last columns of the sat test. Hope they get this fixed soon or at least let us know what the heck is going on.

Seems to freeze I have had this happen several times. The guide seems to freeze up and there is no activity from any button on the remote, but if I wait for 30 to 45 seconds it comes back. So instead of rebooting, try just giving it a minute.

What the heck? How come when I force a software download (reset 02468) the receiver doesn't find the new release? It finds the software release I already have (01BE). :confused:

berck, I also live in California (near Yosemite). During the storm my system was unwatchable in both hd and sd (the winds were 40+ mph). I could see the dish moving on its roof mount 1 to 2 inches in the gusts (installed 4 months ago by d*). After the storm, the signal strength on the 103(b)...

Of course most of the comments in the forums are from people with gripes. Those that are happy with all the new HD are ........ WATCHING SOMETHING IN HD!
