Dish would be happy to reduce our bills, if they were able to reduce their outlays by an even greater amount. If they didn't have to pay the big bucks to ESPN for me, they would be willing to pass along some of the savings.

I just re-signed up after being gone a little under a year. I was eligible for all the promotions, the only catch as a returning customer is I had to give a 2 year commitment (necessary for the deals anyway). There was no activation fee. I am getting a 722k and a 211. Signed up with Dish Store.

Was lied to repeatedly by DirectTV staff. Finally got the straight scoop after the install, cancelled right away. They still took a cancellation fee from me and I had to fight to get it back! DirectTV, never again!

I would have to say that their boss Charlie is a crooked business man, to say the least. One does not get sued as much as E* (and I might add, lose those suits) without doing dishonest things. The VOOM take down is just the latest (that we know of) in a long line of shady deals from Ergen. Edge

Funny thing, I was at my sister-in-law's house this weekend, they have Dish HD and are unhappy about the change as well. They are not the kind to ever come to a board like this (or any other for that matter), but they miss the channels Charlie the crook stole from them and are silently fuming...
