In 1997 or so, CHOM 97.7 in Montréal used to carry Howard Stern. I used to listen to him on there. Then it was picked up by 106.7 WIZN here in Vermont and then it dissappeared off CHOM. Not sure why the Montréal station cancelled it.

Why can cable companies carry Canadian channels (locally, Adelphia has 3 or 4 if I remember correctly) but satellite companies can't? I get CBC, CTV, and 5 other Canadian channels OTA here (and 2 Burlington/Plattsburgh locals that aren't carried on dish, too), so I can still watch it all, but it...

I receive locals from DN (Burlington, VT/Plattsburgh, NY DMA). I also get our local UPN station WGMU (not on DN) and most all Montreal channels with decent reception OTA, just an amplified indoor antenna. Gotta love The Red Green Show weekdays at 12:30 on CBMT ch. 6. Some people around here...
