    SatHawk pvr800 problem

Okay, it was the firmware, near as I can tell. I tried many different versions of firmware that I found on various sites. Some actually moved the dish, but didn't have audio. Others just didn't move the dish. Until I go my hands on one named HDS2_America.abs (actually version...

    SatHawk pvr800 problem

Thanks Chichwalla. Took a while to find, but I found the file you referred to. Menu is more like the older SatHawk file, but with a fruity looking white unicorn in the background. At any rate, Deleted all the Euro Sats and manually added G19. Success! Now, is there a way to import the sat list I...

    SatHawk pvr800 problem

Okay, so finally got the SatHawk in. When the Pansat 9200 Died, the dish was at 101W. I unhooked the Pansat, hooked up the SatHawk making sure to connect the power last and turned her on. First thing, upgraded the firmware with the latest from Sadoun (June 2010). Next, went to the Sat list...

    outdoor antenna connecting questions

Okay, so first off we have to know that you bought the right antenna for your location. Just so you know, there is no such thing as an HDTV antenna or a digital antenna or any of those other marketing terms they use. I live quite a ways (~50 mi) from the broadcast towers in my area and I don't...

    Pansat 9200HD Died

Thanks for the help, Carlos. I doubt it's a power supply issue. I checked the voltage on it and all seemed fine. I do have a question about changing receivers. My dish is not currently at the 0 position and I can't turn it back to 0 using my current receiver. Do I need to have it at the 0...

    Pansat 9200HD Died

My Pansat 9200HD bit the dust on New Years Day. After doing a blind scan and Menu out to a new channel, the unit became unresponsive to anything. After multiple reboot attempts and even trying a reflash of the firmware, it was evident that the unit would not live to see another day. All the LEDs...

My Pansat 9200HD Broke on New Year's Day, so I am unable to comment on current reception. I did find this though: TV POOL US Best of Luck, Wes

Pansat 9200HD with USB 2.0 HDD

So while I was out at Fry's yesterday, I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to pick up an external drive so I could start recording with my 9200HD. Silly me forgot that the 9200HD takes an eSATA; not USB 2.0. So the question is does anyone know if I could use a USB to eSATA adapter...

    Thai TV on 97 w

I did not find TGN on 97W when I scanned. I did however find TGN and all the TV Pool channels on 101W.

It's a Long Way to the Top!

So, on that note, I'm gona sit back a few days and enjoy my newly erected dish and new found networks. ThisTV was taken away from my OTA setup in November, but RTV is filling the void nicely. :)

    AMC 9

Thanks for the insight Radar, I will have to wait until I have another pair of eyes to try out your suggestions. For now, though, here's another data point for you. The other satellite I am immediately interested in is 125W to get PBS. I have been having trouble with this one as well. This...

    AMC 9

I looked at that TP and got 0 for quality on the 83 TP's but 50-60 on the 85W TP. So I decided that since all the other sats have been working alright, I just went into the menu and changed it to 82W and moved the motor. Wham! TuffTV at 84%, RTV at 80%, the test card at 99%. So, I don't know if...

    Pansat 9200HD died

Take a look at the power supply and see if you can see any bulging caps. I had this problem with my Samsung TV (not under warranty). Luckily three capacitors were the obvious problem, so repair cost me $10 and half an hour of my life.
