Silly question, but if the file system is ext2/ext3, could not someone take the HD out of the DVR, attach it to a PC, boot up on one of the Linux live rescue disks, and undelete the files? They should still be there on the HD (unless dish's OS deletes by running 1/0s over the files).

What is even more bizarre is that the guide and menu will display fine, just get a black screen without any picture. This only occurs if I am not in single mode, but in the mode where TV2 is able to watch something other than what TV1 is doing. I do not know if this is related, but it seems...

Tell you the truth... I would rather like it if Nick was on the HD only packages. That is the only thing that is keeping me from going to one of them .

That is pretty much what occurred to my 662. It progressively got worse to the point where I had to ship it back to DISH. I will say that they did take care of my very well... I called them late Sunday, got the replacement on Weds.

OK.. I am utterly confused. Looking at the link that was posted showing the differences between the Turbo HDs I see something that is rather odd: They show SCI FI HD as a Gold channel (bolded with the emblem), however; it is also listed in bronze and silver. I am hoping that this is a mistake...
