What is even more bizarre is that the guide and menu will display fine, just get a black screen without any picture. This only occurs if I am not in single mode, but in the mode where TV2 is able to watch something other than what TV1 is doing.

I do not know if this is related, but it seems that I also cannot watch (on either TV) anything that I have a timer set for when it is recording. I can watch it fine once the recording is done, but if I try to view it while recording I get the lovely blank screen (no sound).

This is my second 622, the first one went into the reboot cycle and DISH replaced it. This also has been the way this receiver has been acting since day one.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried a hard reset? Hold the front panel power button for about 10 seconds and the receiver will reboot.

Unplug it from the outlet for 60 seconds. If that doesn't fix it demand a 722 since these 622's aren't working out. Account specialist is who you need to speak with.

I concur. This is not uncommon for ANY Dish receiver. Personally, I don't think it's a bad idea to reboot your rec once a week. Afterall, it's basically a computer....how stable does a computer perform after running non-stop for a few weeks? Hemi is right, the 722 is much more stable but realize there are two different models, the 722 and 722k. The main difference is the 722 has the off-air module built-in whereas the 722k doesn't.
