Agreed, I saw a game the other day and was hoping that TNTHD would be better this season. Its not.

Sadly, HBO doesnt broadcast the wire in HD. Made me mad when i realized this. Still damn good show regardless

If I were you I would keep your dish where it is and get an antenna for OTA locals. I am in the LA area also, and the quality of the HD locals on 129 is not very good imo. I watch the OTA's exclusively for local programming.

Well I assumed (maybe incorrectly) that when he said better quality that he was referring to the blocking. I agree when minimal/no movement is happening, the picture quality is quite nice on dish network HD. Problem is basketball rarely isn't moving.

You must be the only one who doesnt notice the horrible pixilating/blocking that occurs watching basketball on TNT HD. There have been a number of threads disscussing this very topic. Makes it hard for me to watch on my 51 inch. ESPN HD on the other hand is very nice.

I am glad to see others are noticing this, but TNT HD always pixilates for me while watching basketball. The games in HD on ESPN look so much better. This is not a recent thing either, as I have noticed the pixilation for months.

Luckily for me, all I watch on TNT is the basketball and Law and Order and both look good.

Lakers games arent on CBS, although the masters were. The masters was also impossible for me to watch as when there was any movement the blocking and pixilation was horrible. Would switch to OTA and it was much better.

You are not the only one with problems. Any sports on CBS in hd is horribly pixilated and even the others I will occasional but regular break up of the picture. And this is with a seperate dish for 129, I get a 60ish signal to 129, peak of about 72, valleys down to 61. While it is worse on the...
