I had Dish and was very unhappy with the call centers in India. Very hard to communicate and lots of dropped calls. I have had much better experience with Direct's customer service. I have never had a problem understanding any of the customer reps and they understand me.

That is ridiculous. I must be breaking the law then, because I have both. Many have both just to get locals on cable and then satellite for the rest. I would ask Comcast to tell you what law is being broken. It sounds like you spoke with a clueless CSR.
