I ended up getting D* to give me an HR20-100 for $99, then when the installers seriously screwed up (took 3 days to get an installer out) I got a $100 credit. So guess I'm up $1! So guess I'm still a D* customer for a while.

Yeah, they are connected directly to the back. Seems to be working okay tonight. If I notice another blank channel, I'll try that. But seems like a stretch. I tend to believe the software glitch more than anything.

Besides trying to charge you for the box, did you have other complaints? Since you've had both now, how would you say they compare? The way I see it, to stick w/ D* costs me $200, so there needs to be $200 worth of compelling reasons to stay.
