    From 10 feet away you need real good eyes to see the extra sharpness of HDTV over EDTV. EDTV can also look better that an HDTV when watching DVDs. Many people can't justify the extra $2K for the increased resolution. I bought an ED plasma as a stop gap until 42 LEDs are cheaper

    Skew markings The circumference of my LNB is 5” (128mm) Divide 360 degrees by (80/16th) to get 4.5 so 360 deg / (80/16”) = 4.50 degrees for each 1/16”. 360 deg / 127mm = 2.83 degrees / mm The skew shouldn't need to be exact. I can be as much as 10 degrees out on the skew for AMC 3...

    Universal LNB setup.

    Success I used the circular LNB to tune into the audio channels on Nimiq 1. I left the dish pointing at 91 deg, replaced the LNB with a linear one and set the skew. Only 30% signal but I know the LNB is working. Moved the dish towards 87 and I'm now watching PBS.
