You are lucky. I live in NH, and can't use the OTA adapter as my reception here using an HD antenna is non-existent.

Swapped out the HDMI cable with a brand new one. Everything works now in regards to viewing 4K content on the Hopper 3. Thanks to everyone for your feedback - always helpful.

It's a Sony XBR-65X850C. I've got the Hopper 3 hooked directly to the TV itself.

Ah, ok - thanks for that explanation. So if I call Dish, will they allow me to do this, or would they tell me that it can't be done ? I thought I read somewhere that they were only allowing 1 Hopper per account.
