    HR34 self install

Do we know when the clients will be released? It seems a waste of money to have to buy DVRs for each TV. :(

    HR34 self install

I am planning a self install of an HR34 which will be connected to 4 TVs with an HR24 connected to a 5th TV. I'd like to be able to take the 24 to the lake while on vacation. I've installed Dish in the past but an not familiar with DTVs hardware. I know that I need a new slimline dish, the 34...

SatelliteGuys FIRST LOOK - DISH's Hopper and Joey

Signal strength doesn't have any effect on picture quality. If there is the minimum signal available to get a picture you get the best picture possible. If the signal is below the threshold necessary, you don't get any picture or you get one that pixelates or freezes.

    Purchasing Dish Network Receivers

I'm not sure why I'm responding to your rude post, but here goes. I'm not crying, I'm just seeking information. If you don't have anything to add other than a rude comment, maybe you should refrain from posting and while you are at it, read the forum rules. You just got here; why bother abusing...

    Another Eastern Arch Question

I plan on 1 - 722PVR and 2 - 222k models. If I go Dishpro with this setup, can you tell me what dish I will need and what lnb, equipment will be necessary to make things work? I'm hoping to keep my current elliptical dish for 110/119 and add a separate dish for 61.5. Thanks, grover

    Another Eastern Arch Question

Thanks MikeD. I'm assuming that with the Legacy setup I will use an SW64 ( 6 in, 4 out)? I could also use 5 high frequency splitters and 2 SW64's to get 8 out? If I switch my existing dish to a Dish 500 and use DP lnb's, how does this affect the number of RG6 cables I will need to bring down...

    Another Eastern Arch Question

I have a question related to the eastern arc as well; I can't see 129, but can see 110, 119. I'll be buying a new 722 and one more receiver (dual tuner). I currently have Legacy dual LNBs one the single dish pointed at 110, 119. Can I just add a second dish and point it at 61.5 to receive...

    61.5 vs 129

Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me what dish I will need? Will I need to use 2 separate dishes (one for 110/119 and one for 61.5) or is there a one dish setup that will work? Do I have to tell Dish Network which satellite (129 or 61.5) I am pointed at or when they turn on the subscription...

    61.5 vs 129

Hi, From a North Dakota location, do I have a choice of which HD satellite I point to? I don't have line of sight to 129, but I do have a clear view to 61.5. I would be a new subscriber so what dish equipment do I need to pick up 61.5. Is it different than for 129? Thanks, Grover

1000.2 with a single lnb for sat 129

Why don't you use a 20" single lnb dish and point it at 129 and peak it out. I'm not sure, but I'd be surprised if trees a couple of hundred yards away would be interfering with your signal. The signal comes from an angle much higher up than the face of the dish is pointing. You could have a...

    Purchasing Dish Network Receivers

I'd rather not. The ones that are out there are not reliable. I'd prefer to use my US address to get the receiver and then "export" the receiver myself and then have the supplier set up my account for me. With a US address and US "ship to" for the equipment, there shouldn't be a problem...

    Purchasing Dish Network Receivers

I'd like to purchase a 722 with a satellite dish for self installation. Can someone tell me which major US retailers stock them? Thanks, grover
