    Hollsco Group?

Hollsco Group is my company. We have a satellite aiming product, which is likely why you saw a reference to FTA satellite on another web site. I decided to put up a small web site on one of my servers to make available the most recent versions of TimeTrax, as a courtesy to those who are...

New Beta Available - TimeTrax Recast V 1.5

It does do this already. It first tries the most recent port number and type (XM/Sirius) that was used. If it doesn't find what it wants there, it starts scanning every port for either XM or Sirius hardware. This will be added to the suggestion list. However, it is not the registry that is...

    TimeTrax Company Info

There is a newer version of Recast, utilizing different architecture (basically a new application) but with most of the same functionality being worked on. This is stretching the development staff a bit thin, but we're trying to get as much of the new development done, as well as catch up on...

    DDOS on TimeTrax servers

Last night beginning at approximately 12:05 am EST, TimeTrax was the victim of a deliberate denial of service attack on its primary and secondary servers. This attack caused limited accessibility to the servers until we were able to filter and stop the attack, at around 12:50 am EST. We aplogize...

    Server downage

TimeTrax's servers were the victim of a denial of service attack tonight beginning shortly after midnight. We have been working with the upstream providers to block the attack, and normal service was restored at approximately 12:55 am. We apologize for the outage, steps have been put in place to...

What happens if Timetrax goes out of business? Since it is dependent on their servers

Popcatcher does not make any actual products. They are a software/firmware company that licenses its technology to manufacturers who wish to implement the technology in their own products. The software will use Internet connectivity to identify and tag the MP3 files, but it is not dependent...

Recast error records, breaks songs into little parts

This is something that is being caused by new (invalid) metadata intentionally being sent by XM. The 1.5 beta has a workaround that fixes it, you may want to download it if you are having this problem.

A Sirius Question about Timetrax before buying

It is very easy to set TimeTrax to not record anything less than say, 5 minutes in length. So if there are 3 minutes of commercials (or even a 3 minute commercial), it will be discarded automatically.

    Grab/Kill list for reinstall

TimeTrax utilizes the registry in a very standard way - it reads from it at startup, and writes to it in two places: - at shutdown - whenever a configuration setting is changed, box checked, etc Basically, the only time it writes to the registry is at shutdown, or when you manually change...

    How activation works? Key-Harware ID

Correct on both counts. I'm not sure what the activation period is, but I know XM also sends a "deactivation signal" if your service is to be turned off, so the radio will shut down instantly. TimeTrax's keys are linked to the radio ID.

    Activation probs ...

The new registration key is recorded in your log - open Recast and click on the "Recording Log" checkbox. You'll see it in the log as: New registration key: (key here) Alternatively, contact support and they can send you an email containing all your current codes.

    Polling for Signal Strength

When working with an XM radio, the signal strength is updated approximately every 5 seconds. With working with a Sirius radio, the signal strength is updated whenever the radio feels like sending it, usually every 30 seconds or so.

    Beta - 1.3.66 - Discussion and Info

XM had changed some of the channel data returned with the song information on some channels, and this was causing Recast to ignore the song change information. It has been corrected and will be fixed on the release (should be tomorrow).
