There is no doubt Comcast marketing can be creatively 'slick' but also kind of obvious. I am not much into conspiracy theories, but having a problem with my connection and 20 min later leaving chat with a TV promo offer, and a solid signal at a much higher speed is a little much to be a coincidence.

I saw locals from across the country, including mine, but none in HD. Very strange. Fortunately, I do get OTA locals if I need 'em next time.

Anyone have problems with 'Skip' forward or back? I have a Hopper but I think the issue would be similar on any Dish DVR. When I use skip I get major delays before it goes forward or back. And then when it does go forward or back, it freezes again, for several seconds before resuming. Very...

That's possible, one time I removed them and held them in front of me, and still no audio. I turned off the phones, turned them back on, and the audio was back. So far this has been a very infrequent occurrence.

I have noticed it on occasion. I could probably tolerate a small amount for the off times I would be using BT. Time will tell. The drop outs concerned me more, but used them for 1 1/2 hrs. last night which is longer than I would on a regular basis, and except for one drop out of about 10...

I use the cheapie Kinivo 'phones which have good SQ for the price. Good enough fit for occasional use. Have experienced some cut outs, but most of the time it works as intended. This will be a real winner when available on the Joey.

First guy was only going to give me free SHO for one month.. I said I would prefer a Roku or other longer term discount. I was on chat-hold for 55 min. (Gave me time to assemble a shelf system at home). then a Dish Customer Loyalty agent came on and gave me the 10 off a month for 1 year.

They did not directly address the question when I posed it, I think they could be running out. They offered me 10 bucks a month discount for one year. That will cover some Amazon downloads for a while. :) I have a Roku anyway.

It could well be the older XD, refurbished, since I don't believe they sell that model any more. Although Roku does have refrubed units of most anything they sold or are selling.
