Should I stay with E* hd or move to D*

I have come to a cross road AGAIN! After moving from Voom at E* so I could still maintain my HD programing I now have to make a new decision. As we know D* is moving forward with their new sats and HD programing this year. If they go though with all their moves as planed D* is going to BLOW E*...

How Long wil the Voom Website Stay Up?

At this time it is registered by Rainbow DBS Company LLC at 1111 Stewart Ave. in Bethpage, NY and the Tech contact is Rainbow Media Holdings-CVdomain@Cablevision.com The site was created on September 5th 2003 and the site renewal is Aug 6th 2005. Don't misunderstand though. It could have...

How Long wil the Voom Website Stay Up?

Since the site address is registered every year or three years and the cost for a basic one-page site on a server is almost nil it could be quite some time. My net cost to a customer is in the single digits for 1-year on the name and 5 simple pages is also in the single digits. I would also...

    Considering TWC...have questions need answers

The box I had installed on the 28th of April did work. However there are 3 different cables for DVI. One is unique to TW's box. At 80-90 a cable just go with the component wires. I looked at the two views side by side and I would have to say after several people looked at it the component had an...

jimmykce1 - trying to kill the V* forum?

To continue on what Vicki is saying. I have not switched yet. I am with TW on a month to month until late June to see what D* is going to do. This VoOm forum seams to be a general forum of what Ex-VoOmer are doing. It is a melding of ideas. A family that does not want to say good bye yet. The...

    Considering TWC...have questions need answers

I had VoOm hooked up using the DVI and there was no problem before going back to TW. The 3250 model has some issues with the DVI cable. At the cost of those cables if it does not work go with the component wires. You might even like the picture better. -scott

Any rumors of Voom on DTV?

If D* can't get VoOm and they do do their own channel lineup, I hope that they follow the VoOm format. The interest specific stations of VoOm are what I believe we all liked most about VoOm. It was simple and fit the mood you/I had at any specific time. -Scott Wonder if anyone setting the...

E* is now part-owner of Voom 21HD channels

Might see the amount paid for and/or shares owned of VoOm in the second quarter report for E* or CV but that is 4 mos from now. ugggg... it's so frustrating. Now I see why Chuck pulled his petition over the E-for-Rainbow deal. Come to think of it he back-pedaled real fast over the past few...

Any rumors of Voom on DTV?

That is an interesting thought. We have got to find a copy of that agreement with E*. Still going to give D* until end of June though. -scott

Can the OTA be opened up for all channels?

Thank you You both confirmed my suspicions. Thank you. I was thinking about getting the second 4 bay to add to the one I have now. It is a signal strength issue. Have the preamp now. The rotor...well thats another issue. See with that the Canada stations (4 of them) in SD/HD will come in. That...

Can the OTA be opened up for all channels?

Did that but there are still some missing. Maybe they are not at the level needed for the box.

Can the OTA be opened up for all channels?

At the moment I receive 5 OTA channels. Is there a way to unblock the rest of the channels on the V* box. There are about 12 OTA's that my ant. will pick up. -scott
