A little trick you might try if you use Favorites Lists, add one channel of each HBO, Showtime, Cinemax and TMC to the list and then you will notice when the red or green goes away but won't have to wade through all the channels when it's not. Mike

You can do this by hitting the "Skip Fwd" button after hitting pause, repeatedly hitting the "Skip Fwd" button will advance one frame or "Skip back" to go back one frame at a time. Mike H

Actually you can do this. You must be at the receiver. Switch to single mode, hit swap once on one of the remotes and then switch back to dual mode. Now it is on the other tv. I haven't done this yet on L2.36 but it should still work. Mike H

If the recording has already started you can switch to single mode, press swap on the remote and then switch back to dual mode and the recording will be on the other tv. I don't know if this works for a future timer or not. Mike

If you reformat the drive then there is nothing on the hard drive to accept a software download. It can only update its existing software, not start from scratch. Mike

syphix is right. If you try to record from the tuner that is setup as the record plus tuner it won't go to the other tuner if there is a conflict.
