    I have had it with the HR22

    I don't know if it will help but are HR22 was incredibly slow until I switched it to RF remote. Made a noticeable difference for us. Still slower than I want it to be. :)

    You sure that sound you heard wasn't the power supply? You have minimal power requirements with that equipment but power supplies sound funny when stressed.

    Found my problem. For some strange reason my router had assigned the same IP address to 2 receivers. Strange. I just refreshed DHCP and now all is working fine.

    According to the reps I have spoken with they all claim I own my dvr. I have no lease fees on my monthly statement. Are you all sure that you can't buy a receiver? If that is true every rep I have spoken with would be wrong. wouldn't be surprising though. I have a HR22. No 2yr commitment.
