I use the digital audio out from the Voom box into my surround receiver and experience a wide difference in the volume levels when changing channels. It is very annoying and jarring. Is there a way to solve this problem other than muting when changing?

Would the Voom box outputting at native be an even better choice? I am not really clear on this concept.

I'm using DVI cable. Did you choose 1080i because the tv does a better job of conversion?
