    Selling HR10-250

I'm sold mine on eBay last week for $265. Guess the user reports surrounding the stability of the HR20 drove up the price. Not a bad return on a box I bought a year ago for $99...

Can You Buy an HR10-250 w/6.3 Software?

Check on eBay. I just got an HR20 yesterday so I put my HR10-250 up for auction this morning. Last I checked, there were about 20 of them on there.

Advice on DC Locals w/HD Tivo

He would get 82 (NBC) and 88 (FOX) because those DC stations are O&O. To get CBS and ABC in HD, he would need an OTA antenna.

    DirecTV's Plans for 2006/2007

Some of us don't have access to DSL or cable and are suffering with Direcway for $60/mo. I'd give my left arm for 5mbps...particularly if handles secure sites without getting bogged down like satellite internet.

    DirecTV & Echostar in talks

Any idea what kind of speed we're talking about with a proposed offering like this? I've been suffering with Direcway since I moved to the boonies two years ago and would sure love something that's faster and more reliable.

5 LNB Dish - DC area

I'm out in Leesburg and got upgraded on the 27th. While they arrived 90 minutes late, it only took 1 hour and everything works great. Of course, I installed the two receivers while they swapped dishes, but it's all good. Best of luck with your install.

5 LNB Dish - DC area

I called yesterday and will be installed on the 27th (allegedly). They told me it would be $99 for the dish/receiver install and another $99 for my second HD box. When I informed the CSR that I would have to think about it and call her back, she offered me $120 credit. That still leaves me...

5 LNB Dish - DC area

Yikes. My DC locals come in okay OTA, so I thought I'd see how other DC installs go. Thanks for sharing, and good luck with the fine tuning.

    So how did it go?

    SatelliteGuys MPEG4 Contest!

That made sense to me initially, and then I got to thinking about the problem we experienced with the 2004 Olympics when NBC broadcast "live" coverage on their SD channel and old events on their HD feed. I recall they mentioned something about a remedy to that issue for 2006...let's hope so if...

How Much Local Programming is in HD?

W*USA (CBS) in DC and K*USA (NBC) in Denver are both broadcasting local news in HD if I'm not mistaken.

New DIRECTV H20 MPEG-2/4 on sale

So I'm in a top 12 DMA. What happens to our new MPEG4 STB's when the HMC comes out and we have to replace them with client boxes? Free swap with D* or purchase the clients and ebay the H20's? Or can the H20 double as the HMC client box? Forgive me if that's a stupid question - first post...
