OK so I am going to be updating to the HR34 and was originally thinking of also getting a second HD DVR for the bedroom but DirecTv is telling me that if I have the HR34 in the living room and a "standard" HD box in the bed room I will be able to pause live TV, set recordings and all of that...

The walls are not exposed (never were in the TV areas) but I didn't know if they would handle seeing that it is "required". I would simply be pulling from the old leads.

So I am finishing up the remodel on my new home and plan on moving my service to the house BUT was wondering if I needed to replace the old coax runs from the cable TV or would Directv put new in seeing that it is "needed" for signal strength. Any help on this would be great so I know if I need...

Menu reset? Is there a reset option in the menu somewhere? Checked all the connections and they seem good. Like I said the pq goes out the door if there is HD recording on both but when I went back this morning and took a quick look at the recorded programs, the same that had bad pq while...

Last little bit of help..... OK so all of a sudden the pic quality on the HD channels SUCKS when there are HD programs recording both in the living room and bedroom. Is this normal with the SWM?

Think I fixed it! I had the receiver setup wrong.......

HELP!!!!!!!!!! OK did what you guys told me to and nothing.... Well something I have signal on the 3 even numbered sats and nothing on the odds. Receiver is telling me there is no signal from sat 2, which I think is OK. Any help? UPDATE: I have signal on everything but sat 99 now.......

WildBill, Thanks for the diagram that helps! The pictures are exactly what I have at home. From looking at the diagram I am taking that all I need to do is move one of the coax leads from the "legacy" side and put it in the "swm2" port then simply run that lead to the back of the "new" HDDVR...
