I have a 2016 LG OLED. It apparently received a software update this summer to make it compatible with HLG.

Update: When I got home I managed to find another HDMI cable (made sure it was the latest High Speed with Ethernet). That seems to have fixed the problem. The guide still appears dim with HDR on, but neither it nor the tv picture are washed out like they were before.

FYI here is video someone just posted where they are getting DTV 4k hlg hdr to work on an LG OLED TV. So that confirms it is HLG and that it should work. I thought I’d already went through the settings on my tv and Genie mini, but I’ll give it a go tonight again just to make sure.

I’ve got the 2016 model and it is RVU capable. I assume yours will be too (it appears as an app in their webos App Store). That being said, I agree that you should just go with the c61k (which is what I did). I hear it is faster and more responsive than the RVU, and you don’t save any money...

You can also call in and tell them you just cancelled and want to see if there's anything they can offer you. That's how I got my win back offer.
