    So I have an HR24-500 installed the hd gui about 2 hours or so ago. Now using the receiver is painfully slow. If I hit guide it takes about 8 seconds for it to show up, if i select a new channel in the guide to watch it takes about 10 seconds to change. I understand that this is still CE but...

    Thanks for all the info, I guess my big question is isn't it weird that I haven't had an update since 9/29 which is I believe when I had the CE installed. I guess I am asking how do I force the receiver to get a NR?

    I was under the impression that the HD gui is not CE anymore? I thought it was NR, now that I have a CE release what do I have to do to get NR installed though because it doesn't seem as if I have gotten an releases since I put the CE version on many months ago.

    New VS MAXHD stuck on.

    Just wanted to update you guys (thanks for all the help and ideas) but Viewsat said they think the box is hosed. The tech said he has seen a few of these boxes where the heatsink was not seated properly and causes a chip to fry. I am sending the box back to be replaced.
