    You may choose Directv but ATT may not choose you for much longer. They are doing their best to push people off form satellite to streaming. They consider satellite a legacy service whose days are numberfed.

    Directv to shift away from Satellite?

    Yup, I have the fastest speed available in my rural area, 3 Mbps. Barely good enough for streaming Netflix in SD. I might be able to get a satellite Internet connect but with it's high latency and very stingy bandwidth cap it would not suit my needs either. Satellite TV is my lifeline.

    You are not required to subscribe to every paid streaming service. Just sign up for the ones you want and if you are on a tight budget sign up for only as many as you can afford even it it's only one. But with cable or satellite you are paying for channels you never watch and don't want.
