anyone here use willow tv to watch cricket?

Yes I use it, and it is legit. It does have buffering issues sometimes, but it's better than the shady offshore websites. If you have satellite you can sub to their tv channel. It's 2024 on d* and 582 on e*. Better reliability but $5 more per month.

    Half-Assed Cricket Setup

Hooray - D* is back with its high quality picture for its coverage of the Cricket Twenty20 World Cup. Boo - the programs are matches are showing up in the program guide 2 hours before they are played, and then you have to set manual timers to record them because you cannot recored them from...

    Setanta, Channel 406

Time was... Dish Cricket used to cost $50/month. Now all cricket is a la carte at around $3/day - so the subscriptions appear to be high (this summer from the UK cost $150 for 47 days). But remember each day of a match lasts 7 hours... lots of expensive uplink time. However if you are an...

    Setanta, Channel 406

How soon we forget... In recent times, each EPL game each weekend cost $14.95! Now there is a channel that provides multiple EPL games live, plus the Championship, plus French footie, Aussie Rules, Rugby League, Rugby Union, GAA... etc etc $14.95/month vs $14.95 for one game... No...

    willow.tv - ICC WC 2007

Dish owns the ICC WC rights, Directv is selling under license. Dish wants you to use their service rather than Direct. So Dish has the free internet, audio broadcasts highlights and repeats. I believe Direct just has the games. Unfortunately Dish also has awful PAL to NTSC transfer - so...

Distant Network Shutoff - another excuse to get out of MPEG 2

I live in NY, just noticed that the local CBS HD feed has gone on my 921. Called up the 800 number, who told me there would be no local service in NY for CBS HD. My guess - that is non-sense. Dish took the opportunity to take down CBS HD in MPEG 2 in NY as a bonus from the Distants...

Need a great D* Installer in South Florida

My uncle who lives in Boca is interested in getting D*. The big problem is that he owns a listed building and cannot add any Dishes to the superstructure. The install would need to be for 101 and 95 degree satellites (an ex brit, he wants the cricket). Anyone got any recommendations...

Cricket on Satellite... The Carousel Turns Again

There may only be 20,000 Cricket subscribers in the US, but I figured I'd speak up on this issue... which is the reason why I have a dish today! Murdoch (owner of Fox, Sky and most cricket coverage worldwide) has finally brought the hammer down on Echostar cricket in the USA. After 8 years...
