yes it did :) that is what was confusing the crap out of me all along. the original VS2000 was not referenced on the website and i did not know which of the others to use. so now i know to use platinum firmware. wonder why 3rd party firmware screws these boxes up? i use 3rd party firmware on...

Well thanks to a forum member who got me the proper firmware, i was able to follow the instructions here and feed it the new firmware. the thing works perfect now :) thanks for all the help guys. now i just need to locate a Ku Dish and Feedhorn i will slap on dish and see if i pickup channel...

well i will give it a few days and if there is no other opinions on the matter i will attempt to shove platinum firmware in it.

i can't seem to locate firmware for the original VS2000, all the firmware is for the lite, platinum, ultra, etc.

can someone post the latest factory firmware for my version of the vs2000? i did not see it at the viewsat support page.

i will require the proper firmware and instructions on how to recover from a bad flash.

unless someone can point me to a tutorial on how to bring it back from a bad flash, which i assume is whats wrong with it.

i did not get a remote with it. can i use a universal remote? i have a logitech harmony universal remote.

well i turned it on and all i get is no video with 4 green lines across the LED channel display.
