    Someone on this board will try plugging the XBOX HD-DVD into the USB port on their PC! For this to work wouldn't you need MPEG-4 AVC CODECs and some kind of playback software? Now, if someone really wanted to start a rumor . . . doesn't the DishNetwork VIP-622 have several USB ports...

    I don't see possibly how watching or not watching a free preview makes any difference. A certain portion of the hard drive on my DVR is already dedicated to DoD. It's not as if they didnt put Monk on that I would get some of the hard drive back. I don't get to pick what Dish puts on DoD...

    We watched it this evening. Not exactly free - it was sponsored by Visa so you had to watch some brief (less than 30 second) commercials. But there was no charge for it. It was pretty funny. Since I got to see it before everyone else, I feel like I'm on "square 2".

    721 and splitter?

    Yes, I have the DP44 switch and a DPP separator going to my 721. Works great. I even added a diplexer to add an OTA signal.

    Houston HD locals are not passing the closed captioning signal. Audio is not quite in sync either. Anyone else notice this?
