My Hr10-250 just received the updated 6.3a software last night :)

I have the 6.3a update. Never used the program guide much before, but it does "feel" a little snappier.

    Connection Question

A splitter won't work. You will either need a second cable directly from the dish (if available), or a multiplexer to give you the additional capacity you need. Don't know about the access card.

    Installation Questions

Forget the tree idea. Dish alignment is critical, especially with the 5LNB dish, and a swaying tree is not going to maintain a good signal for you. Even if the tree doesn't sway, it will expand, contract, and grow, all of which will put you out of alignment. I'm not real familiar with roof...

    HR10-250 OTA Reception

    HR10-250 OTA Reception

I had the same problem with my H10-250 --- I'm within 14-15 miles of the 4 big networks' transmitters, and had to get an attenuator from Radio Shack to reduce the signal a bit --- Even with my indoor Silver Sensor antenna. Works great now.

    Are D10 receivers junk?

I have had 2 D10s and a Samsung DVR for about a year, with no problems. Also an H10-250 for about 6 months, also no problems.

    Problem with Diplexing

Yet another diplexing question. I have searched intensively but can't find the answer to my specific question. I want to distribute my DirecTV DVR output to all receivers in the house. I have a 3 LNB Oval Dish, Terk 5x8 Multiswitch, Samsung DVR, and three D10s. I am sending the signal out...
