My 10' is out about 500+ ft from the house, C & ku. But I cannot remember if they put an amplifier on it at the dish, but I don't think so. I know there was never anything mounted in the house.

All I can say regarding sat internet (Hughes) is FAP! I had a T1 installed, problem solved.

Problem is solved, it was on SC end. They neglected to turn on ALL of my HD channels. Me and Cathy at tvm got it all straightened out today.

I just upgraded to the DSR530 from the old 500. I also installed a new bigger 70? SC dish. My signal strength is in the 90's and my db's are around 12 on all channels. I get the same readings on the channels I am not receiving. I get some of the HD channels, but not my east and west HD...

I'll second what iceberg said. The *C picture is just as good, and in some cases, much better then what I was receiving over my tuned Cband system with a 10' dish and 4dtv on the digital side. Mike

STAY AWAY FROM FREEWAY!!!!! I was with Freeway for 3 years (S*), what a headache. I now use TVM, great service and costs MUCH less then Freeway. Can-Am only handles Bell as far as I know, tried them before finding TVM. Mike

Set up is the same as D*. Go to www.lyngsat.com for Bev sat posistions. Your instructions should have the sat position with az and skew. I know my S* came with all needed info for my self install, took about an hour. Call kusat for a broker, and stay away from Freeway Support, what a headache...
